Please be informed that the Faculty's Visiting Professor, Prof. Malcolm Smith will be having a sharing session as per details below:

Time      :   3.00 - 4.30 pm
Venue    :  ILMU 1 dan ILMU 2, Level 12, Menara SAAS
Topic     :  Doctoral Supervision and Examination

Your attendance is COMPULSORY. Please take the opportunity to meet our Visiting Professor by joining the sharing session. Thank you.

p/s: Please note that the venue has been changed from Sumber Ikhlas to ILMU 1 and ILMU  2 to ensure that more students would be able to join the sharing session.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Prof. Malcolm's Visit (22 April-6 May 2013)

Assalamualaikum and good day to all,

Kindly be informed that the Faculty’s Visiting Professor, Prof. Malcolm Smith will be visiting us from 22 April to 6 May 2013. All of you are welcomed to see him over the period of his visit. You may make your appointment with him by writing your name on the schedule sheet placed outside his room (please note that he will be occupying Dr. Tuan Zainun’s room at Level 12). Over his coming visit, Prof. Malcolm will be giving two (2) talks as follows:

1) Talk 1: Doctoral Supervision and Examination [(Friday, 26 April 2013 (3.00-4.30pm)][Sumber Ikhlas, Level 12]
2) Talk 2: Readability and Understandability in Accounting Narratives [Tuesday, 30 April 2013 (2.30-4.30pm)][Sumber Ikhlas, Level 12]

Notes:
Professor Malcolm is currently attached with the School of Accounting, Finance and Economics of Edith Cowan University, Western Australia. His current research interests include management control system, corporate governance, whistleblowing and financial criminology. Prof Malcolm-Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) collaboration started as far back as 2003 when UiTM and University of South Australia (Prof Malcolm was then with UniSA) offered a joint Master in Accounting Information System for our young lecturers. Prof Malcolm has written and published a lot of articles on these topics in international refereed journals.
