Author Guidelines
As a step to follow the high quality and success of Emerald, Business & Management Quarterly Review (BMQR) follows the standards of Emerald journals for paper submission guidelines, which are;

Papers should be submitted via
zaidiuitm2000@yahoo.com before/on 31 August 2010

As a guide:


1. Articles should be between 4000-6000 words in length
2. A title of not more than ten words should provided
3. A brief autobiographical note should be supplied including:

Full name, affliation, email address, full international contact details, and brief professional biography

4. Maximum length is 200 words in total. In addition provide up to five keywords which encapsulate the principal topics of the paper and categorize your paper under one of these classifications:

a. Research paper, b. technical paper, c. conceptual paper, d. literature paper, and e. general view.

5. Tables should be typed and included as part of the manuscrip. They should not be submitted as graphic elements. 6. References to other publications must be in Harvard style and carefully checked for completeness, accuracy and consistency.

You should cite publications in the text: (Norzaidi, 2008) using the first named authors' name or (Norzaidi and Ahmad, 2009) citing both names of two, or (Norzaidi et al., 2009) where there are three or more authors. At the end of the paper a reference list in alphabetical order should be supplied:

For books, e.g. Zakaria, H. (2009), Business Management, University Publication Centre, Selangor.

For journals, e.g. Zakaria, H. and Karem, A. (2007), "Intranet usage in port industry", Business & Management Quarterly Review, Vol. 12 No. 3, pp. 67-88.

Call for papers & participation : The 2010 International Conference on Governance and Accountability

We are pleased to inform that UiTM-ACCA Asia-Pacific Centre for Sustainability  ( APCeS ) together with the Indonesian Centre for Social and Environmental Accounting Research and Development ( ICSEARD ), Social Responsibility Research Network ( SRRNet ), DeMonfort University’s Centre for Research into Organisation Governance ( CROG ), Governance and Corporate Social Responsibility Research Unit, Curtin University of Technology, and Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences, Yildiz Technical University, Turkey will be organizing an International Conference on Governance and Accountability on December 5-8, 2010 at Sebelas Maret University- Solo Paragon in Solo City.

The conference will be a deliberately informal gathering of researchers, teachers, students and practitioners concerned with governance and accountability, social and environmental accounting, teaching and research in the very widest sense. Preference will be given to full papers, however, abstracts of 200-500 words will also be considered. All papers and abstracts should be sent by August 31, 2010  by email to Dr. Hasan Fauzi . ( hfauzi@icseard.uns.ac.id  )
DOCTORAL COLLOQUIUM  
In this conference also will be running a doctoral colloquium on one day of the conference. The aim will be to give detailed feedback to doctoral researchers concerning their papers. Feedback will be specific to each person and their research, and will be given by an experienced academic in the field. The colloquium will be an integral part of the conference and all delegates will be expected to participate fully in the conference but the sessions will give extra time to presenters – to allow for discussion and formal feedback. In order to allow detailed feedback full papers will be required and should be sent by 31 August 2010  by email to Dr. Haslinda Yusoff  ( hasli229@salam.uitm.edu.my ) and to be coded Doctoral Colloquium on top of paper cover.

Call for Papers & Participation : 2nd International Accounting and Business Conference (IABC2011)

Dear all, 
We are pleased to announce that UiTM Johor will be organizing the 2nd International Accounting and Business Conference (IABC2011) that will take place as follows:
       
        Venue      : The Puteri Pacific Hotel, Johor Bahru, Johor
        Date        : 16 - 17 February 2011
 
The Conference Secretariat is inviting participants to present their papers in the field of accounting, business and economics. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceeding, with an assigned ISSN number. Selected papers will be published in the Journal of Financial Reporting & Accounting (ISSN:1985-2517, http://emeraldinsight.com/jfra.htm). Currently, we have received abstracts from Malaysia, India, Iran, Poland, Thailand, Fiji, Germany, Australia, Italy and France.

VALIDATE COURSES REGISTERED

Please pay attention to the following status codes that appear in the validation list :

1A- Have paid tuition fees but have no register a course
- Had registered courses without paying tuition fees or status of payment not been update.
4B- Had registered courses and had paid tuition fees
4C- Had registered courses, had paid tuition fees and had validated courses online.
7A- Have not registered as a student for this semester (shall be dismissed after the validation process).

IMPORTANT

1.  Students who are with status code 4, the following processes would not be able to be carried out if tuition fees payment are not updated: 

a. The process of validation. (printing courses registration statement)
b. The process of entering marks.

So, students are required to check the tuition fees payment status with Bursary Office, Phone no 03-5521 5991.
