Postgraduate Colloquium 2016

Dear all PhD and MBR students,

We are pleased to announce that the Postgraduate Colloquium 2016 is to be held on 25 – 26 May 2016.  The details of the Colloquium are as follows:

Date    :           25 & 26 May 2016 (Wednesday & Thursday)

Venue :           De Palma Hotel, Section 19 Shah Alam

Fees    :          RM 50.00 (Presenter) RM20 (Participant)

( Payment can be made through Bank Islam Berhad BIMB - 1216 8010 0034 57 & participant need to scan the receipt of payment to proof the payment had been successful )

This is the first PhD Colloquium organized by Postgraduate Department in Collaboration with the Department of Research and Innovation (RICAN) of the faculty.

Please be informed that attendance to this event is COMPULSORY to all research candidates (PhD and MBR).  For your information, the colloquium is being organized to replace the postgraduate progress presentation which is normally held once every semester.

Presenters of the Colloquium are selected by Postgraduate Office based on the stage of their thesis completion.

 REQUIREMENT FOR COLLOQUIUM :

1- Abstract (not exceed 500 words)

2- Full paper submission (maximum 10 pages)

3- Slides Presentation (power point presentation for 10 to 15 minutes)

Call for papers:

The dateline for all abstracts is 2^nd May 2016 (Please refer to the attach format for Abstract).

Abstracts will be reviewed anonymously by the review committee and all papers will be published in the conference proceeding.

Guidelines for submission of papers (as per attachment)

1. Abstracts

The abstract should not exceed 500 words (exclusive of bibliographical references) and should state clearly research questions, approach, data and results. 

2. Submission of Full Papers : The dateline for the full papers is 9th May 2016.

MAKLUMAN PENTING : IGS 3MT

Untuk makluman semua, Pihak Institut Pengajian Siswazah (IPSis) akan menganjurkan IGS Three Minute Thesis Competition (IGS 3MT) 2016. Maklumat pertandingan adalah seperti berikut:

Tarikh : 18 Mei 2016 (Rabu) 
Masa : 9.00 pagi 
Tempat : Auditorium 1 & Auditorium II, ILEAD, UiTM Shah Alam

IGS 3MT adalah DIWAJIBKAN kepada semua pelajar PhD dan Sarjana, yang telah lulus Defence Research Proposal (DRP) dengan mendapat keputusan 1 atau 2. Sijil penyertaan IGS 3MT dijadikan pra-syarat untuk menghantar Borang Notis Penyerahan Tesis.

Kriteria peserta yang layak untuk menyertai pertandingan ini adalah seperti berikut:

Pelajar Pascaijazah Sarjana dan Kedoktoran* bagi program  penyelidikan dan Mixed-mode, 
kemasukan sesi Mac 2015 yang telah lulus DRP dan mendapat keputusan 1 atau 2.

Assalamualaikum and Good Day to all of you. 

Hope everything is ok and all of you are motivated to complete your thesis. I pray for your success. Anything you all need my help please contact me. For example, if you need any seminar such as methodology, literatures, framework, please inform me so that we can arrange for the benefit to all of you. But, make sure that, any events that we arrange please take active part and participate. Our next events will be Doctoral Colloqium which will be held tentatively on the 24 and 25 May 2016. We will invite good and experience panel of assessors from other local universities. I have already identified those PhD students that will involve for the Colloqium and will email to all of you soon. Please read the following and those interested to take part please inform.

Sukacitanya dimaklumkan pihak IPSis akan menganjurkan UiTM Three Minute Thesis Competition (3MT) 2016.

 Maklumat pertandingan adalah seperti berikut :

Tarikh : 5 April 2016 (Selasa) 
Masa : 9.00 pagi
Tempat : Auditorium 1, ILD, UiTM Shah Alam

Pemakluman awal telah dihantar kepada Ketua Pusat Pengajian Siswazah (KPPS) fakulti pada 1 Febuari 2016, 19 Febuari 2016 dan 10 Mac 2016. Sambutan penyertaan yang diterima adalah menggalakkan.   

Walaubagaimanapun, pihak IPSis berbesar hati sekiranya YBhg Profesor/Prof. Madya/Dr. dapat menggalakkan pelajar-pelajar PhD dibawah penyeliaan masing-masing untuk menyertai pertandingan ini.

Kriteria peserta yang layak adalah seperti berikut: 

a) Pelajar Kedoktoran yang telah menghantar Notis Penyerahan Tesis*
b) Pelajar Kedoktoran yang telah menghantar tesis untuk diperiksa bermula bulan Januari 2016

**Pelajar-pelajar ini mestilah berstatus Aktif didalam status akademik.

Pelajar kedoktoran yang sedang menunggu VIVA (tesis dihantar sebelum Januari 2016) tidak layak untuk menyertai pertandingan ini.
