2nd Session PhD & MBR Defense of Research Proposal Semester Sept 2015 - Jan 2016 (Change of date to 29 December 2015)

Dear PhD and MBR candidates,

Please be advised that the 2nd Defense of research proposal (DRP) for this semester will be held on the 29 December 2015. It is the university requirement that all PhD and Masters are required to defend their research proposals by Semester 1 or 2. Please refer the following table on the requirements.  

Program	Mode	Requirement for DRP
PhD	Full time	Candidate must defend proposal within 12 months
	Part time	Candidate must defend proposal within 18 months
MBR	Full time	Candidate must defend proposal within 6 months
	Part time	Candidate must defend proposal within 12 months

Please take note that the following actions need to be taken by students as a preparation for the DRP:

 Submit the following documents to postgraduate office by 7^th  of December 2015

a.    Five (5) copies of research proposal

The research proposal must be screened for plagiarism using Turnitin software.  The similarity index must be less than 30%.

Refer attachments for the research proposal format.

b.   The proposal must be attached with the Attendance Confirmation Form and the Turnitin Originality Report with both endorsed by the 

     Main Supervisor.

c.     A copy of the IGS Research Skills Certificate

d.   DRP Assessment form (four (4) copies)/DRP result form (1 copy)
